You’ve probably been wondering who the new person is responding to tickets on our service desk recently so we thought we would introduce her. Her name is Cherie and she fits right into the Kettering team. Read about her journey below.

When did you start with Kettering?

12th January 2022.

What would your team members say about you?

I think they would say I’m a quiet achiever, who is approachable, knowledgeable, and a fun breath of fresh air.

Describe your role here at Kettering?

I feel like my role here at Kettering will be always evolving. At the moment I’m the first point of contact for our clients on the Service Desk, making sure they get the attention they deserve. I look forward to building a high level of trust and respect with all of our clients, as well gaining greater insights into the manufacturing industry and being an integral part of their business success.

Bucket list destination?

Wherever there are beaches, it is warm and there are cocktails!

When not at work what do you like doing on your weekends?

I enjoy baking, working on creative projects and spending time relaxing at the beach, and the occasional TV series binge.

Tell us about your journey so far?

I grew up in Perth and started my life in IT in the family computer store, progressing along the way to a company Director and managing day to day operations before I moved to Melbourne for a city change. I learnt a lot of new things in my 12 years in Victoria and had the opportunity to work with several industries including finance, real-estate, not for profit, and transport consulting engineers. Having to support a wide range of software within all these different industries really enabled my general IT knowledge to grow substantially. I’m excited to have recently moved to Brisbane for this new opportunity to expand my knowledge again within the QAD sphere, particularly in a much warmer climate.
