We interviewed Jason Tung the IT Manager at Allegion New Zealand. 

What do you manufacture?

Allegion manufactures and sells mechanical and electronic security products for home and businesses worldwide. The products range from door levers and knobs through to very sophisticated electronic locking systems.

What do you love about your job?

Even though I work for a very large company, for local matters, I can influence our IT strategy, both short and long term.

What’s one piece of wisdom you would like to share?

Do not underestimate the value of a disaster recovery strategy. The annual back up testing we do with Kettering gives me confidence we can revert to our previous day. Kettering does a great job of this.

What are you working on at the moment?

We are currently conducting a process review, realignment and then focusing on doing a QAD upgrade next year.
